CROSSROADS PANAMA is a proof-of-concept based on the true story of espionage in Panama Canal at the beginning of World War II.
This ongoing production is led by JustOrdinary Studios in San José, California.

Feature Script

The feature script CROSSROADS OF CONFLICT has received international awards and is based on the novel by Michael Conniff.

In 1941, a Panamanian American journalist challenged with polio is recruited by the US Intelligence to unmask an espionage Axis network planning to sabotage in the US Canal Zone.

Auhors

FRANCISCO DE LA CALLE (1967) Engineer and linguist. He is the author of two novels, two theatre plays, and several scripts. Currently he teaches in the Spanish Program at San José State University, California.

MICHAEL CONNIFF (1942-2025). In Memoriam. Historian of Latin America, who specialized on modern Brazil and Panama. Between 2002 and 2012 he also created and directed the Global Studies program and afterward served as professor of history at San José State University, California. He retired in 2012. Mike was the author of the novel Crossroads of Conflict, coming soon.
