Adam’s Mirror

Adam’s Mirror is a science fiction thriller set in a post-pandemic world where social distancing and bio-identification cards have failed to prevent hackers and organized crime from exploiting loopholes in the system.
Europol Commissioner and former dowser Manuel Maruenda investigates a series of meticulously planned murders, including the killings of several of his own agents. The perpetrator uses the fictitious name Alexander Karon, a lone wolf with no verifiable identity. When the Berlin police commissioner is murdered in broad daylight in Madrid, Maruenda decides to pursue the investigation on his own.
The trail leads him to two technological laboratories, one in Russia and the other in Spain, with Maruenda serving as the only link between them.
The novel pays homage to biologist Rupert Sheldrake and his theory of Morphic Resonance. To catch Karon, Commissioner Maruenda must enter the killer’s mind. Throughout his search, he never loses hope of uncovering the truth, believing that truth exists whether or not there is a path to it.
