In beautiful San José, a Brazilian student struggles to decide about his future far away from Rio.

Cast. Hybrid stars Alamim Ferreira, from Goiás, Brazil, a graduate student in the Public Health program; Bárbara Vecci, from Rio de Janeiro, a Chemical Engineering alumna; and Jessica Roselius, from Texas, a Film alumna and prospective graduate student.

Music. For this movie, 300 Days of Sun benefited from the participation and generosity of Brazilian Voices, (“Ela é Carioca”), Bossa Nova group from South Florida; Aline Frazão and César Herranz (“Jeitos”), Brazilian jazz musicians from Angola and Spain; and guitarist Celso Moreira (“Com que Roupa”), from Minas Gerais, Brazil, who has accompanied artists such as Milton Nascimento and Nivaldo Ornelas on tours throughout Brazil and Spain.

Direction and Photography. The film was directed by Francisco de la Calle, with cinematography by Ken Stachnik.

Script. The original script was written by Francisco de la Calle and Alesya Petty, with lead editors Paris Hernandez and Leon Kuo.

The Team. The crew was composed of members of the SJSU Film Production Society (FPS). The broader team consisted entirely of faculty, students, and alumni from different colleges of San José State University
